Andrew Huberman, Ph.D., is a prominent neuroscientist and associate professor at the Stanford University School of Medicine, where he holds positions in the Department of Neurobiology and Ophthalmology, and by courtesy, in Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He has made significant contributions to understanding brain development, function, and neural plasticity, which is the brain's ability to rewire itself and learn new behaviors and skills.

Huberman's research has earned him numerous accolades, including the McKnight Foundation and Pew Foundation Fellowships, and the prestigious Cogan Award in 2017 for his groundbreaking work in vision science. His laboratory, the Huberman Lab, focuses on how vision and respiration influence brain states such as fear and high attention, and on developing tools to mitigate stress and improve sleep and other physiological metrics. The lab's work has been published in top-tier journals like Nature, Science, and Cell, and featured in major media outlets such as TIME, BBC, and Scientific American.

In addition to his academic pursuits, Dr. Huberman launched the Huberman Lab podcast in 2021, which quickly became a global top 10 podcast and frequently ranks #1 in Science, Education, and Health and Fitness categories. He is also the co-founder of Scicomm Media and advises various businesses.

Dr. Huberman's educational background includes a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Barbara, an M.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Davis. He completed his postdoctoral training at Stanford University, where he developed genetic tools to study the visual system.

Throughout his career, Huberman has been involved in innovative research, including the use of virtual reality to study neural mechanisms of fear and anxiety, and collaborations on the effects of respiration patterns on stress and sleep. His work continues to influence the fields of neurobiology and mental health, making significant strides in understanding and improving human well-being.
